Does anybody know the tap size for the shifter on a 1981 toyota pickup?  If anybody does i would appreciate it.  Thanks yall Nicholas

I think its a 12mm, 1.25.  But I'm just making sure.

Are you refering to the thread for the shift knob? Isn't it more like a 14mm? I can find out tomorrow because we tap our Turtle Knobs to fit the Toy shifters and I know exactly where the tap is at.

I beleave the shift knob is a 14mm.

yeah it's a 14x1.50, if i remember right.

My shifter was 12 x 1.25 mm.  91 pickup.  W56.

The size and pitch on an OEM transfer case shifter is 12 mm  1.25 pitch.  The Marlin knobs screw right on with no problem. :twocents:

I think it's the same for the trans.  I put a Hurst T handle on mine, but I had to make a bushing out of a 12x1.25 nut by ginding it down and pressing it into the T handle.  It wasn't perfect but the handle is on there good, and I couldn't be happier.
