my 22RE has been leaking oil for a while and i have to put a quart in every couple of week, people were tellin me that it is my front main seal. how hard is this to change? about how much does one cost?

Cost is reasonable, difficulty is low.  Hardest part is breaking the crank pulley bolt loose.  I used a long breaker bar, pulled the coil wire, and hit the starter for just a click.  Don't be down there watching things have a tendancy to move around a bit.

After it's loose the rest is cake.

yep long handled breaker bar, 1/2 inch drive or you can take the outer pully off and use a boxed end wrench and a BFH

probably the easiest seal to change
