Took the truck out wheelin today. Had some good fun. Need to button up a few things, but all in all it ran and performed great.

Yeah. I crawled up a pretty steep hill. I was nervous about it cuz im running slicks on the rear. But the MTR's pulles through and i crawled right up it duals engaged. The front d shaft hits on the t case x member something fierce and i still need to find a better pinion angle but thats alld for now. The motor was amazing. Going uo hills in 5th where usually id be ringing the 22Rs kneck in 3rd. I love the swap. Well worth it. And if you are traveling light it actually is kinda fast. Yesterday i was fully loaded and still was amazed with the performance. A comoletely different truck. I have never been able to ceuis at 75moh before and woery about getting a tixket in a yota.

Were you single 4.70 before and now you are 2.28+4.70?

Great to hear this! After I did my 3RZ-FE I ran bald 33" tires for a few months until I got some used 35s. With the 33s on there I raced and beat some lowered Honda Civic HAHAHAH I couldn't believe it

Before the swap I was running a single, stock 2:28 Tcase. Now I am running Duals 2:28+4:70.

A lowered Civic. I bet that guy was pissed. haha.

Yes, I did try out the duals and what a difference. I have had dual 2:28s before, but the 2:28 4:70 is ridiculous. Im GLAD I DID NOT BUY A SINGLE 4:70 Tcase. I would say 3rd gear on a single 4.70 is still lower than 1st with a 2:28. I have to do some customizing to my shifter for the 2:28 crawl box in order to be able to disengage. I was stuck using mostly the 4.70 crawl box unless I busted out the screwdriver and tinkered around.

Got X2 new MTR's. Eliminated all of my steering wheel shimmy. Drives like a dream other than the slightly off pinion angle which I plan to take care of in the next few weeks. Pics to follow.

I want it lower. Any ideas? I already went from a 2" b lift to a 1" b lift. If I were to completely remove the 1" body lift Id have to cut off my sliders, rear shock tower, lower my gas tank another 1" , hack out some more metal to make room for the power steering box... Which I may end up having to do to get that 1" drop. I was also thinking about getting a set of All-Pro 4" springs. I have the 5" springs and I have already removed 2 leafs from each corner... Think getting the 4" leafs would even make a difference? I haven't read much about building leaf packs although I have seen it done. I just don't know about clearance with Hi-steer and all those technicalities.

I believe im at 7.5" total lift with springs, shackles, and body lift. Id like to get it around 5.5"
