Hold the phone, your drive train should not have moved from this engine conversion, so why are the t/cases now making noise? Did you change your suspension also during the downtime?

I added the Dual transfer cases.  My old transfer case made a similar noise though. just not as violent. I am assuming the extra noise is due to the aftermarket 4.70 gears.. That's why I replaced the old t-case in the first place. It does seep oil out of everywhere though and did require constant topping off.  The driveshaft I am now using WAS the front driveshaft with the CV which I had extended to fit and replace the rear driveshaft to compensate for the addition of the transfer case set up. This driveshaft went in at the same time I was working on the swap.

does that driveline have enough compression? it looks kinda long in that pic. anyway, is it a grind/rumble that gets worse on deceleration? with a cv shaft, setting the pinion 2* under the slope of the shaft has always cured the noises for me. they can be picky though, off just one degree can be the difference.  this is probably a silly question but what are those 2 computer looking things?

Im sure the d shaft wont have enough compression after rotating the axle housing haha. Nav system and a DVD player/backup cam. Radar detector integration to come.

Looks like it huh? I only see 5 on the ground...

Good job nation. You should have about 1.25 inches of compression on the shaft, but your vibration issue is from the pinion pointed too low, you got it

I guess you could say oversized. I don't have the vision of an Eagle anymore . Don't really wanna stare at it and try and read what it says while driving. Dangerous.

The DL angle made a world of a difference. Now i can go 80mph with very little noise/lashing sound. Still going to take the dl into the shoo and make sure they have balanced it.

Here is a video of the truck running through some gears. All in accordance with the law of course. Skip to the end of the video for the good stuff. With the extra power you can really tell the difference of the MC short throw shifter.

Im strapped for cash right now so anyones input to help best direct me would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the shakey video. I was trying to make it as clear as possible without being run over.. Thanks Guys.

Thank you! All of the work is well worth the reward. I can now go up steep hills on the freeway in 4th-5th gear where before with the 22R id be between 3RD and even sometimes 2nd gear on a hot day loaded down.

It will get a litttttttttle bit better as the ECU learns more about its new environment and you get things dialed in. :driving:

Depending on how much seat time you are putting in, it might take up to 1.5 - 2 weeks for the ECU to clear all the self-tests and eventually decide to throw a check engine light or not.

Do you have access to an OBD-II scan tool?

I do have access to a scanner. Only code its throwing is evap...which makes total sense, because I don't have the evap canister for the wiring harness to plug into..I put 120 miles on it yesterday. Gear oil started spewing out of the breather on the twin stick plate and bathed my truck in oil... Also noticed that clicking from the rear end.... Slowly but surely working it out. Im about ready to wheel this thing. Its been a while..
