I believe the Heavy Duty clutch uses a pressure plate that is rated at 1200 lbs.

I have some much better pictures of the clutches and their kits, so soon I will be updating the clutch page next. We sale alot of those clutches and people tell us that the work really well. Marlin has been running a Heavy Duty clutch for along time and the pedal still releases pretty low and it still grabs like new. This has got to be because Marlin builds these kits using super strong and reliable clutches that feature "double spring" (a small high torque spring inside of a larger outter sping) X 4 instead of using like 8 urathane bushings, or 6 bushings 2 springs, or 6 single springs. Check the picture below, the springs are pretty massive, and that's just the outter spring  :)

thanks    i was wondering about crank pilot bearing and slave cylinder   abuse  using the 1200lb clutch,  will they be ok?? ???  downey , as you might know offers  a 1440lb  clutch and says it is safe for the slave cylinder and pilot bearing.  also if i buy your L52HD trans(how much is that$$ ??) , will this clutch work with it.            i have 33 inch swampers and pull a trailer occasionally, my flywheel was in bad shape when i pulled the engine out, im going back with a LCengineerin stage 2 engine,  should put out about 140hp, i dont want to fry the flywheel again those things aint cheap.  and its pretty heavy for a toy with steel wheels 8274warn winch, with full rap around bumper, and toolbox,  planning on a bed crane for lifting things my back doesnt want to

thanks again

Definately. Even with our 1600 lb clutch this is not a concern. The pilot bearing, throw out bearing (release), and clutch slave cylinder will outlast the clutch. As the two bearings should always be changed with every clutch change (we included both bearings, genuinie Koyo or Nachi, with every kit), the slave cylinder is designed to last as long as the truck does.

downey , as you might know offers  a 1440lb  clutch

Even though Downey's clutch has about 200 more lbs than our standard Heavy Duty clutch, that is what we compare ours to. Marlin says that our Heavy Duty clutch will have an eaiser pedal than the Downey yet it will grip just as well as the Downey.

your L52HD trans(how much is that$$ ??)

The total rebuild price is $749.
However, upfront, the price will be $749 + a refundable $350 transfercase core charge (please see more about cores: http://www.marlincrawler.com/java/coreparts.html) and we need your old t/case shipped back for the refund.

Now that core price is for a L50 or a L52. I know you've got an L43. It is not wort as much to us as the 5spds are, so I will have to consult Marlin on this to see how much we would credit you for it.

will this clutch work with it.

It sure will!
