hello everyone I did a search but still couldn't figure out which transmission this is. I've tried to compare it on the transmission page and just doesn't seem to have one that matches up. I purchased this for my 87 4 runner and was told it was out of an 88 4 runner that the guy was going to use on his truck however said he changed the throw out bearing and the noise went away, so he sold me the tranny. however his truck was a first gen truck which makes no sense as to why it was an 88 that he was selling. I suspect it's out of a first gen truck as it looks somewhat like the one I have on my 82, but thought I would leave it up to the experts, that you guys to tell me exactly what transmission it is. thanks in advance.

So far it looks like a R150F front section mated to a 'R150F for Tacoma' rear section

Might be a R150F for Tacoma with a different bellhousing

I thought it looked like a hybrid, but some mix of a 1st gen and second gen mix not tacoma.

R150F that came out of a v6 3.0 pickup or 4runner. Chain drive transfer case.

So, "emsvitil' Was correct it just has a different bellhousing to fit a 1st or 2nd gen truck. Thanks all.

So is that bell for the R151? You mentioned that it was for a 1st or 2nd gen truck, which were 20/22R(E). And if that bell fits a 22R, etc, and that's an R150 trans...

I was told it was for a 1st or second gen truck but when compared to my 1st or second gen tranny it looks different, so I don't think it fits a 22r or 22RE.
