Topic: 85 runner(bogging)

im having this issue with this 22re 85 runner....it starts up fine, idles good and revs up great when parked but as soon as i drive it up to 2nd and 3rd gear it bogs real bad.....any clues would help... thanks in advance

i got the same problem only mines does it when goin on an incline at slower speeds
dont kno if its a bad fuel pump or sumthin??

it could be a fuel filter but it kinda sounds more like the cam timing is off one tooth.
to check it pull the distributor cap off then set the crank to 0* on the timing mark.  rotor should point to #1
now pull the valve cover off and look at where the timing mark is.  if it is perfectly straight up 12 o clock then its off because it should be slightly to the pass side of that.  like 11:55 o clock
