Inboarded rear springs (pictures Up!)

Im in the process of inboarding my rear chevies as well as throwing under an 86 rear end. i have a good idea of what me and my buddy are gonna do but thought i would ask all you guys for some pics to post up on your creations.. thanks $Beer Chug\'n$

When you do it make sure to take and post pics so we can see it. I am doing it on my truck also soon and would like to see how you do yours.

I have a buddy that runs inboarded-chevys with revolvers, when he was running a toyota rear he pulled bolth spring perches off of the housing. You could look in and see the shafts. He now runs 60s. This set-up works really well, but the toyota housings are to thin IMO. Im giong to do the same but will wait until I get 60s.

On my 90 I made my own perches from 2 1/2" square tubing, I made them 6: long and I drilled 3 holes for the centerpin so I can adjust my w/g +/- 3". I used 85ish ranger springs and I reused the factor front hangers by just welding them to the inside of the frame. I have been really hapy with them.

welp we started on the project got the driver side almost done.. used about a 6 inch piece of 1/4 inch 2x4 and braced it with some triangular gussets going to the frame. got some spring perches yesterday thanks to hangtown extreme, and some hangers from them.. pictures should be up tonite though

Spring perches should rip off the housing if the u-bolts are tight. Maybe if it was running a u-bolt eliminator on it, but then it still should have been gusseted better so it wouldn't rip off. I think it is cool that you are going though with it. We wanna see some after shots when it is all done.

hell i gave up on trying to figure out what people do anymore..I know I would like to see that rig with inboard 63's revolvers on it..Might be interesting..I would think the reason the perches ripped from the housing was due to a poor weld job..

alright... ITS DONE! drove it a little bit today but ran out of gas so didnt get to test out the flex really... i can tell you one thing... i definatley like the wider rear end.. tomorrow i will have pics of how it looks $Beer Chug\'n$
