NEW Guy from BC with a first gen

Hi guys im new to the board, im from langley bc.  i used to have an 88 toyota and lost it in an accident, i just picked an 1980 orange toyota. Drove it back to canada from Tacoma, wa. yesterday and im fired up to do a 3rz swap, and do a modest lift and go through the frame, brakes, diffs etc. Geez so much to learn. I figure this is a good place to start, lots of info on the 3rz. Hope to find a low mileage 3rz soon. Thanks guys -andrew

Best advise I have is to buy a complete wrecked 4x4 Tocoma because you will need all the little stuff it takes to do the swap. This site will help with good advise from people who have been there and done it. Welcome...

hey thanks for the advice man, thats the plan ive been researching and looking around and low mileage engine are expensive. id love one of the 7000 mile engines that are in some of these threads but those days are over i think. id be very interested in a salvage tacoma.
