I have a stock 87 Xtracab that I just picked up for a cheap and I'm building it to be a reliable somewhat daily driven truck. The rear springs are worn out and sagging pretty bad. I stuck a set of 2" lift shackles on it that cured the sag problem but I fear that they will just cause the springs to wear more quickly and get worse than they already are. I'm looking for a stock replacement rear spring or possibly one with 1 to 2 inches of lift. I want the truck to ride good and be comfortable. It will be running 31" Radial Baja Claws. Should I buy stock replacements or go with a different spring like maybe a Tacoma spring or have some aftermarket springs made? Any suggestions, advice, or info is greatly appreciated.
