3toys is correct your tcase and pinion are out of alignment causing a slight bind and vibration when it slightly binds get an angle finder with magnet and check both the tcase out put angle and pinion angle and shim or get new perches and set to the same degrees as tcase and burn them in

DL measure from flange to flange = 39”

Measurements from:

TC (transfer-case) = 6*

DL (drive-line) = 22*

Pinion = 71* -- converted ( 90*- 71* = 19* )

My calculations: 22* - 19* = 3*

“3* shim”

so according to these calculation and with what your saying, i should only add a 1degree shim?

From what I have researched, the pinion should be pointing directly to the TC. Which is what I am trying to accomplish by adding a 3* shim to align the shaft pinion at 22*. So, I don’t understand the part that my TC is off. Can you help clarify?

Sorry guys, its NOT the DS...

OK, back from the dead!! Did an alignment and was right on and everything was straight. My axles are not bent and now we know..
I put the rear axle on jacks and ran it up to 60-70 mph, I continue to get a vibration.

I used 1 ¼ inches of washers to lower my TC a bit and that help with the vibration from 25-35 and driveshaft angles. 25-35 vibrations are GONE..

I took off the drive shaft and ran it in 2WD without it and found out at 60-70mph I hear a vibration in the TC. SO I know it’s not the Drive Shaft!!!

Im leaning towards a bad output bearing?

take a dial indicator and place it at the bottom of the tcase out put flange. next take a pry bar and place it inbetween the body and tcase out put flange pull down and read the dial indicator if it moves over .010 then its more than likely your out put bearing is out of specs and allowing excessive dl movement causing a vib hope that helps
