Get one from Lce man. They're definitely worth the money. And while ur at it eliminate the catalytic converter. Makes it flow good and still gives ya enough back pressure. U fuel injected or carbureted?

First of all, before you get all exhaust crazy, what state do you live in, and do you have to smog?  That will determine on what you can do.    

Most people, including those in CA, generally go with a smog legal header, LCE and a few others make them with the CARB tag on them to show DEQ that it is compliant.  Then a 2.25" pipe, with a high flow cat, and a decent muffler.  I for one like my exhaust quiet.  If you like noise, Flowmaster.  This will give you the boost you are looking for, but it's not gonna be a huge boost.  Alot of members clean up the intake, and put a mild cam in.  Doing your intake, cam and exhaust, will definitely wake up the motor.

Oh. I'm in Texas man...they don't really give a crap ant the environment. I put a .30 over cam a weber 32/36 carb and deleted my cat while using a factory style muffler. I as well am not a big fan of loud exhaust noise

I run a gutted cat on mine.  Because if I have a mechanic do something that I can't, then they don't get in trouble.  They can get fined if they work on a rig with no cat on.  And they can loose their business lic.  Plus, I don't have to smog.

keep the stock manifold.. they make the best of both worlds and flow real nice
