Spinnin' Fours are planning on being there as every year, don't know if I'll be able to go yet.

Would this be a good event to bring my 08 FJ to? I really want to make!

BigMike

Yes, your FJ shouldn't have much trouble here. From what I remember the trails are not that hard really. It would be a nice place to bring a FJ Cruiser to! Great scenery and locations here

I took my H3 on several of the runs there like Defense, Happy and Jail. Of course I wasn't concerned with damage but I didn't get anything but bush scratches. Sadly I won't be there this year but my club will be there starting on Thursday.

Hey RS,

I heard the roads are all washed out and they are worried that trailers and motor homes may struggle getting to camp. Have you heard anything about this?

Goler is washed out at the park boundry, Artist Drive is washed out. Lippincot is open "very rough." And South Pass thru Grapevine Canyon is very rough and requires spotting. Good news is that there is a tractor working on this road though.

Mike I just got this from Cal4Wheel:

ATTN ALL PANAMINT PARTICIPANTS:
The dirt road (Slate Rage Road) off of Nadeau Road is quite a mess. It is advised to continue on Tona/Wildrose Road, past Nadeau Rd, pass the Ballarat monument and Ballarat road, continue on around the bend. Panamint Valley Road is on the left, the only paved road to the left. About 100 yards of dirt road, turn to the left onto Slate Range Road. It is approx 1 mile to camp.
Jeeps, higher clearance vehicles: motorhomes/trailers etc may have no problem going the regular way into camp off of Nadeau Road.
My sources say that there are boulders, big rocks, ruts etc coming into base camp that may be bad for lower slung motorhomes/trailers etc.
Please use caution, and go into camp from the north end of the road.

Hey guys,

Got some bad news. Marlin and I won't be making the event. We are still in Fresno and it's not gonna happen. We had too much to do earlier today and couldn't get away from the shop unfortunately.

So for anyone going, please post up a detailed report with many pics upon your safe return home!! :driving:

Regards,
BigMike
