Topic: Will a FJ-62 Steering Box fit in a 1979 Pickup?

I want to convert to hi-steer. I went to a junkyard the other day and spotted an 1989 FJ-62 (Axles, tie-rods, and brake master cylinder were already missing). I noticed the steering box was still on it. Will this fit into my truck, and is there an advantage to it over a regular IFS steering box? I went to the autozone website and the IFS steering box and FJ one had the same manufacturer and different part numbers.

Also, I saw 2 2nd gen RV Toyotas. Do these have a 1" brake master cylinder that I can swap into my truck? Is there anything I can upgrade from these?

yes it will fit, you'll have to make a mount for it, but it would be easy and the bolt pattern is different but not a big deal.

the RV should have a 1'' MC yeah, grab the booster too as it should be dual diaphragm

also the pitman arm points forward ... it will have to go alot farther back unless your linked and stretched
