just bought this 1979 about a week ago, using it as a DD for at least a few years.

plan is to just fix it up and make it as nice as possible.

plan to add
power steering
bucket seats
front and rear bumpers
new door panels
new exhaust

the truck is already in pretty good condition, no cracks in the dash ,no bondo and just a couple small dings.
and original toyota cb radio :smokin:

santa cruz crawler

Thats a factory cb? Thats bad ass...
.....If you loose in life its because you lag.....

:jawdrop: i have that exact cb! i wasnt sure where it was mounted. that is an amazing find

thanks everyone, today ill be picking up some parts from santa cruz crawler to make it even better.

im pretty stoked to find this truck it took 3 months of looking everyday to find it.

84t0y

so I finally went and got some parts from Santa Cruise Crawler.
I got a 5spd L52 tranny to replace my worn out L43. I also got a stock front bumper with a push bar thing on it, and the lower valence that goes below the front bumper.

Also got some other stuff that I didnt expect to get, A nice black dash mat, an igniter, a heater motor switch, and some other little parts.

After that I went to kragens and got all the tune up parts for it. once its back together ill set the timing and adjust the valves.

almost forgot, I bought a magnaflow 14" muffler off LCE. which is nice because my exhaust ends right after the cat right now.

Dingman.

travis,  so do you still have the 95 or is that gone?

84t0y

95 is gone and im glad that thing was nothing but problems for me honestly.

plus I dont even know anyone here locally that has a rig or evens like going wheeling, and wheeling alone sucks so I really dont need an offroad rig right now.
maybe in a few years.

Dingman.

yea.

That thing sure does look clean though!

need to rebuild my front axle big time

84t0y

bed is in pretty good shape just surface rust. anyone want a rollbar? free to a forum member.

tgmaul88

i like it,  long bed right,   20r? that thing should go forever.

84t0y

yep longbed and 20r. I need to fix my exhaust, it has big leak right at the manifold, so fix that and i already bought a magnaflow muffler(currently no muffler at all). I hope it goes forever it seems to run good it just doesnt have a lot of power. I wish it had the 22r that my old 84 extra cab had, that thing ripped for a 22r.
