i heard that you can put a celica head on a toyota pickup and you get more power if this is truck what celica head do you have to get and how much power will it make thanks :screwy:

yoderboy

i think that the early celicas had a 20r which ive been told that it has better flow and bumps up your compression on the 22r. not sure though could be wrong

yea you can put a 20r head on a 22r block and gain some compresion.
but there is a trade off , the 20 r head has smaller valves. so what we used to
do is get our machine shop to put 22r valves in a 20r head then we would
port and polish, and gasket match the combustin chamber.
gave us about 1 point more compresion.
back in the late 70s early 80s the wife and i autocrossed a 78 celica.
with much success i might add.

by the way spell check didnt help.
