Hollister Hills "NEW" Hudner property, set to open.
« on: Mar 30, 2012, 08:30:36 AM »
The new property at Hollister Hills is set to open, doubling the 4x4 area.     Its open this weekend because the Upper Ranch is closed.  MAY 12th is the Grand Opening,  looks to mostly Black Diamond, but we'll see.

Havn't been there yet.  Well see what happens when the soil is turned.  Gonna definitely be there in May.

from what I heard the hunder property is mostly trails for side by sides.  I was talking to one of the rangers up their a while ago and he said that there weren't any extreme trails.  He had taken a truck on 33's open front and rear through everything.

All new trails kinda start that way, we'll see.  Good news is, that you can wheel it or the Upper ranch.

That's what I've heard. It's just rolling hills and Oak Trees. We'll see what happens :)

so everybody wheel Hollister on the 12th of May.   Cause we need complete criticism, of the new property.  Or complete terrorism, of Hudner.

Just got off the phone with Hollister Hills Ranger Station. They said the Hudner property is open for wheeling. So since it is open already I was thinking of making a trip out to see the new place. I am thinking of going the first week of May if I can. I'll try to get some pics and video of the place. If you are in the area, or plan to be, post up maybe we can meet up and wheel around.

The hudner ranch is not very challenging even for a stock 4x4. It ended up this way due to the conservationist regulating every move the parks made. They will not allow it to be used in the rain, and limit the amount of trucks that enter. If your going to hollister, go, but I wouldn't make a special trip to go to hudner ranch. Unless you drive a Land Rover, lol.

Yea. Over by the back of 5 fingers hill. The video doesn't do in justice. It is BIG. They also have a new rock/covert pit that is fun. That's where I did in my output.

Just so everyone's clear, that's not the Hunder Property. That's the Upper Ranch, just above Jungle Trail and Bonanza Gulch. I watched them build a bit on it the week after Memorial Day. Ill try and find the old trails name, they might rename it :dunno: The Hunder Property is all rolling hills. It is located on the opposite side of the road, Cienega Road.

On the Hollister map it looks like it may be the green circle McCray Rd. Between the two Bonanza Gulch trails.
