I installed marlins sas kit> I measured 30" flange to flange for driveline length. Took my driveline to Fresno driveline told them measurement and wanted long slip w/5" of up travel. I also asked them to change yoke that bolts to  diff flange cause it is an 83 axle and would not fit. Went to bolt on driveline and the yokes at diff bind, to much angle. I looked at buddy's toy his yoke on the slip is like 2-2 1/2". The one I have on my slip is around 1" long.  Preventing me to get my angle. My buddy thinks that long yoke is stock but he is not sure. I am wondering if the diveline shop cut off my long yoke and installed a shorter one?

High pinion 3rd member up front and dual case adapter will help a lot with front drive shafts. There are different U joint yokes that have different angles too, not all are the same. You should be able to get 30 degrees on the 84-85 style U joints. What angle are you getting from the joints now at bind?

Post a pic so we can all see the issue, I have a friend who had the same problem, however I don't what to comment until I see the pics to see if is the same reason.

I f you had a 83 end put on your driveline thats the issue.  1st gen doesnt have nearly the angularity that a 2nd gen end allows.  Change the flange on the diff and swap slipyokes with your old one.  It will have no binding.
