W59 bell housing on a toyota turbo tranny?

I know marlin used to make it, but is there a way to make it work with out that marlin bell housing?

rumor has it that 05 and up 4cyl bell works.

I would research carefully.  I have found varying information about this.  The early trans input shaft is approx 6.5". Called a short shaft. The later trans have a 7.5" input shaft.  Called a long shaft.  

So technically speaking, and from I have been told and have read in various places, the 2tr bell won't work without further modification.  Longer pilot, custom throw-out, custom slave, or just a sliced down bell housing.

Then again, some people have said it bolts right together...  I hope someone with technical experience(has physically done the swap) can chime in because I also am looking for verification on this...
