Is $698 shipped a good price for an ARB?

I've been looking around and that's the best price I've found so far but I'm still looking. :dunno:
They advertise the compressor as $219 shipped as well
72 FJ40. 350 Multiport EFI, turbo 400, ORION T-case, 35 Procomp's  disk brakes front & rear, ARB's F&R and an onboard shower for the ladies!
86 sr-5 4runner SAS conversion. E-lockers F&R, 5.29's 4.7 Marlin case.

The compressors suck but 7 bills on a locker isnt too bad.  Id go for someother compressor, even a quick ari is cheaper and its twice the compressor.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

That price sucks ass if it is just the locker.  If that price is for the locker and the compressor it's good.

UNBREAKABLE

I wouldn't buy an ARB air comp. They don't have hardly any cfm movement. For that price you could get a York comp and the bracket for a 4 banger.
That's how I roll

Go on Pirate and search for a guy named "PORC" He runs Performance Off Road Center. I just got a 35 spline Detroit for my 60 for $479 to my door. IIRC, he quoted me around $650 for the ARB for this setup (minus shipping) He has always told me "find a lower price and I'll beat it" He did 1 time from something off ebay but I haven't seen anyone come close to his prices on ARBs and Detroits. Great guy to deal with to boot!

I had this talk with a local supplier.  You can only do so good on an ARB.  They have an agreement with their distributors that keeps them from going and undercutting one another.  $698 is average; PORC's $650 is probably the best one can do short of used - and once the shipping gets tacked on, I bet there's 698 again.

I have a 20lb Co2 set up already-can't F...in stand it! Takes up too much room! I just need the comp for the lockers. I never air down, :shake_head:  I like the barking seal sound of my MTR's on the slick rock :smack:
