well here we are again. it seems im bound to update my build on an annual basis. recently got some new-to-me tires and weld on beadlocks. heres some pics. the beadlocks arent quite done yet, still need to grind one down and paint em all, but i mocked em up to get an idea of what to expect. the rubbers are 38.5x14.5x15 TSL SXs. one is BRAND SPANKIN NEW, one is pretty much brand new, and the other 2 are like 75-80%. hopefully ill get them finished and painted on saturday, and mounted up sunday if all goes to plan

and one more quick question. anyone running a similar tire and wheel combo? im gonna try the BB balancing technique and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to start. what kind of BBs, weight to use, etc.

nice build! gonna be a sick tire and wheel combo u got there!

cant give any input about the beadlocks and balancing since im running just steel rims, just get the welds even all the way around and itll balance better ive heard.

im running 10oz of polished airsoft bbs in each of my tires to control the crazy death wobble and also some centramatic wheel balancers and it made it bearable for high way speeds up to 65mph. these are also on bent/hammered rims.

so i think if u start off with 10oz each u can see where that gets u and always add more from there, they work surprisingly well aside from the sound u hear when stopping when they all fall onto the rim but who cares as long as they balance.

i soaked the BBs in WD-40 before they went in just so they dont stick together and move freely in the tire.

yea the ones i have on my truck now do but they are wider than these. i also have 2inch spacers. im expecting a little rub, but hopefully it wont be as bad as it is now

well the beadlocks are done, tires are mounted and on the truck, and it drives great. way better than those uber bald ones i had on there.

the freshly painted rims,

on the tires,

And on the truck.

so glad i finally got these. ive needed them for a long time

i took 1985CRAWLERs advice and put 10 oz .25g seamless airsoft bbs in the tires and the ride real nice on the road.
