Thinking about picking one of these up

Thoughts?  Im wanting a handgun to carry with me hunting but also want one that if i wanted to i could hunt with it.

Im sure alot will say well why do you need such a big handgun to carry with you while your hunting. Well i dont feel like trying plink a 9mm or 40S&W  at a bear or a cat if i have to.

Sure, if i run a straight down holster on the same side as my draw hand like a dillweed it would take forever.

that is a good size caliber though... and it's a marlin

The caliber is a marlin not the gun jimbo
But really, thats a long barrel, in a quick threat situation, clearing the holster is a problem.
Now if it was out of the holster while hunting with it, I wouldnt worry of course. But I would look for something with a shorter barrel.

Are you stuck on the 450 marlin? You might be able to find the right size barrel in a sw 500

way too short. remember i want to use it to hunt too if i wanted. would work for a number of things around here like bear, pigs etc

I know, more of a haha, could you imagine shooting a gun that big with a barrel that short, but that is actually the emergancy brown bear model too........
