ok guys i just got a set for a 100$ for my runner 85 . i have a copple of Q.  for you guys.
they are 39.5 15 .5 on a 15 in rim i think
will i need to buy a spacer for the rear axle to fit them in the fenders with out them hitting the in side of the fender wall ?
my frunt axle is my week link .i have the old bobby longs in it , will they hold up for a copple of runs . just mud no rocks for now i dont  beat it that hard as it is now.  im going to buy the new longs in a mounth so or should i just what and not take it out untill i get the new longs?
Jeeps are like tampons , every pu$$y  needs one.

Hyena

you will prolly need to run spacers front and rear.  Rear will most likely hit the frame and or the fender.  But the front will prolly hit the springs.

Rockhoppa

Im running 36 12.5 sx's on a 10 rim and I rub the frame in the rear. But not for long, Just got the rearend from an 88 v6.  :eyebrow:

I had 38/15.50/15 richard Cepek FC Kevlars on my 81 longbed. It would rub on the frame in the rear if I would flex. It would also rub on the front leaf springs if I would turn too far. So what I did was backed out those bolts in the front so it wont turn as far. It would rub on the front if you would flex it on the body if your axle isnt moved forward.

PS My avatar pic is my truck with the 38s on it. I now have 37" MT/Rs
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

im going to tub the frunt end next week end after i take it out and flex it . that way i will no what to cut out. what spacers should i get . im only getting thes tires becuause thay are chep and i need a good reson to talk the old ball and chane into letting me spend some $  :gap: . but will i be able to mount them and drive it home the 10 blocks to my house ? the guy im buyiing them frome is going to put them on the rims for me for free

ya if you got enought lift you can drive it home fine im running 35 16 boggers and myne dosent rub just driveing down the road its just in a hard flex.
as long as they dont hit the fenders when turned you will be fine but if they do and ur at any speed at all then ouch hold on too ur seat ur gonna go for a ride. and if it dosent rip they body off the the frame then it will tear ur tire and body up pretty bad so make shure you can turn almost lock too lock without touching the rear of ur front fenderwells before you drive it anywhere.
Good luck and i would go with a 1/1/2 inch spacer ft and rear or just front and find a wider 86 and up rear end for the back run spacers up front prob 1/1/2 or 2 inch in front.
good luck

If you didn't make it, and it ain't broke, you didn't try hard enough.

With those specs Im gonna guess you bought tsl's.  I ran a set on 10" wheels.  I had an ifs axle and they rubbed the frame a bit but nothing major.  The wheels were the standard 3.75" backspace.  The front rubbed the shizzle out of the springs though.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

ya there the tsl . i think all make it home i only have 2 turns form the shop that is putting them on for me . i called the guy to day and i should have them on my truck by wen or thursday of next week .  now i have a nother Q . should i buy the new 300 m longs or should i just go buy a d44 ? and build that up . i dont have a nuff $ for a 60 and i was offerd the d44 to day its out a a 3.4 tun chev .

Hyena

Buy the new 4340 birfs amd inners.  Stronger then 44.

WHITE_TRASH

The only reason to use a 44 is for the width.  Its not ever going to be stronger than a yota axle with the same mods done to each.

make sure it is a D44 and not an 8-lug 10 bolt
