« on: Dec 21, 2011, 10:34:10 AM »
Who's going to KOH and what days will you be there?

I'll be there from saturday-02/04, to friday-02/10, camped on the lakebed as always.   :gap:

so what do you guys think for a camp spot?  Before hammertown, or on the lake bed?  I think I prefer on the lake bed.

Depending on what you are camping in the lake bed can get really windy and blow tents away. Some like to camp on the edges with the hills behind you to be a little protected from the wind. Others have spots a few miles off the main area for a little quite time away from the 24/7 activities

most of our group from bakersfield area will be in motorhomes.  it would be kinda hard to get them up along the mountain side.  i think our plan is to camp on the lake bed.  people who have tents should be able to get enough of a wind break from the motorhomes.  we camped just before hammertown last year and the amount of dust that was kicked up from the traffic on boone was horrible.  my vote is for the lakebed.

We always camp out on the lake bed, towards the far end, near where TG sets up their stuff.
