Heres some Pictures of my 1982 Toyota.

This is the day that I bought it, looks nice and stock with 31's



This is what it looks like as of today.



Don't mind the rims, I put the tires on 2 days after Christmas and I didn't feel like painting them. I also have no wheeling pictures yet because its been snowy since I put the tires on and I have no lockers yet.

looks good, the orange is definatly unique and looks good, What have to done to it gears, upgrades how much lift? let it all out. good built

I have put 6" to 8" of custom lift in it with the rear springs in the front with 3 chevrolet 1/2 ton springs added, in the back is a set of 58" long (I think) Mazda B2200 springs with 3 Toyota springs added to it. The shackels are 6" long which adds around 2" of lift.

I have a set of 36"x12.5" Super Swamper SX's, home brew cross link steering, 1 set of 5.29 gears and the other is in the mail coming to me. I bobbed my short bed, so I have somewhere around a 4 foot box, moved my bumper up about 5". I have the vented rotor conversion.

I am currently rebuilding my axle with 1/4" steel pipe.



Soon to have on my Toyota are rear steer with hydro cylinder, a set of newfields or something similar, winch, 16" Fox coil-overs, I also want to make a exo cage, but I don't think the truck would be street legal if I did that.

I just ordered two 21 foot lengths of 1 5/8"x.188" to start making some new body mounts, cage in my box and do some bumpers (I know 2 lengths wont do all of that)

The springs work great, haven't gotten to flex them much yet because of it being winter and all of my brake lines are to short . I am soon going to be putting coil-overs in place of them.

Mine is going to be street legal, even if I put coil-overs on it, but I wan't the ones wil 18" of travel... Maybe they would be to noticable?

Whats wrong with coil overs? that dont make truck street ill-legal does it??

I don't think so, but i'm not sure if coil-overs that are 4 feet long and build with home made links will be legal.
Does anyone know if this is legal?

Yea, I'll probably find out when I build it, I know a guy with coil-overs in the back, but they are only 7" of travel... they're only small.

Don't think it would be ellegal.  As long as you have all the propper stuff.

Yea, I will be using legal heim joints, I don't know what kind I will use... I was looking at Evolution ones, they are $100 Canadian dollars a peice for 3/4" with a 90,000 lbs rating I think.

still pondering it not to sure on what i want to do yet i might ahve an idea but i wouldnt get any travel out of them jsut flex im trying to think of a way top get some travel movement! i ahev the day off tomorrow so it will be spent on that! thanks for the input on what you did tho!!!

Ya i think i came up with a way it will be really simular to what you did but i think its all gonna be welded i cant think of a way to bot it on! i am gonna weld a plate to the top of the coils and then run the same thing you did with about 10 in of travel as well im gonna talk to me teacher when i go back to school next week and tell him my idea hopefully he likes it and says ok! Ya i needed some help it came in handy to make my decision i was thinking about it all yesterday at work and then again today and decided on my plan, to bottoms will be welded in place jsut the tops will be moveable!

no pat wont go 4 it, hes dumb like that, its not how the kit came, so he wont let u do any custum , BC its not DOT approved

Well, you have good ideas.. but I really hope you don't mean you are going to weld your springs to the mounts?

No the coil will only be welded to the mount on the bottom i am still trying to think of a way to not have to weld it!

Why don't you bolt it down?

Thats what I did... don't weld it, then you will lose the integrity(sp?) of the spring metal, I don't think that would be good.

ya thats the thing i cant think of a cood way to bolt it down! ahah i might jsut do the same thing for the bottom as the top but make it like 1 inch or so thanks for the advice!
