96 4runner elocker axle VS taco elocker axle
« on: Nov 07, 2011, 01:49:01 PM »
Ok, so anyone know the differences?

I can get a 4runner rear axle complete elocker 4.10 I beleive the price is $425 (I already paid for it, waiting to get the right axle at the moment)

I already have a 4.30 fzj80 front axle so I will have missmatched gears.

only reason I check the runners was cuz 4.30 was an option on them.

anyways, pros and cons of going with the 4runner rear axle?  what kind of mods will need to be made? ebrake cables? perches obviously. what else am I missing?

Plan is to put this under the rear of my 87 4runner

what all am I going to have to do to put the taco axle under the truck, and what all would I have to do to put the 4runner elocker axle under my truck?

is there different widths involved? cuz Im kinda hoping to get a 60" rear width and run 1.5" rear spacers to match the fzj80 front

what would you do, get the 4runner rear? wait and see? get my money back? ( I think $425 is a good price for either axle)
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

went and looked at fades factory elocker rear, looks like its in a bad spot , but looks like I could modify my factory ebrake cable to work pretty easy
