ifs rear axle?

ifs rear axle? why do people want these? i hear about them alot whats so good about them?

3 inches wider, some have the V6 3rd member, 10 inch drum brakes instead of 8 in.

ditto. Seen plenty of Jeep rears snap and walk out onto the trail, never a toy rear. Mine is full stock, does fine. Keep it! Good luck

Socalrunner....If you would man, sit down and make a list of all the stuff you wanna know. Then, post it in one topic, Like maybe the project forum, And we can help you out probably easier and you won't lose track of post you've made. It would be much easier to keep track of info and review it later. :thumbs:

Seen a few rear axles broken, broke one myself.   Just run it till you have a prob then throw another stock one in it.  Most people dont have problems with the rear.if you ever decide to do a rear leave spring swap to ditch your coils it would save you time to source a ifs rear housing from a pickup since there is already spring perches.  You may have to rotate them, but it is a hell of a lot easier than cutting off all the coil perches on a 4runner rear housing

i do plan on losing my coils for leafs so ill keep that in mind thank you
