No worries I enjoyed driving 2.5 hours to Pollock Pines while you drank beer. Thanks for the tank of fuel you bailed on.

Marlin had a small hiccup. His front ARB solenoid failed thanks to oil from his York air compressor making it sticky.

My clutch linkage went weird and I had to grow my leg 4 inches longer to engage my clutch.  Not sure why yet.

A 4runner in my group stripped out all four steering arm studs before hitting the trail. Swapped it out and it lasted all weekend.

I had my front shackle bolts and pitman arm bolt come loose. My rear springs fanned out a few times :)

My buddy bent the crap out of his lower link mount/ tcase crossmember after dropping backwards off a large rock face which in turn twisted the pinion up to the point that the u joint wouldn't turn. Cut the whole thing off and had to realign everything (two highlifts, three winches and a tree) and welded back on.  Had the fuel pump relay fail, hot-wired that no biggie. Only to have the crossmember fail again due to tubing damage we didn't catch the first time.  Repeat process earlier only add a bottle jack. Limped out with front wheel drive only strapped to a 4runner. Left the springs at 7:00am Sunday, made loon lake by 9:30pm, arrived home at 5:15am Monday. No thanks to the extremely rude and discourteous folks from Jeep Corp.

I broke a muffler backing down soup bowl sideways. It should be on the other side and facing back.

And I bent the newest tube on the cage on a night run up Big Sluice. Thank you to whoever you guys were that rolled me back over.

When and where did this all happen
spit the leafs out 3 hrs in the trail, used a 1/4 inch extension since it took a 5/16center pin, not 3/8. bolts broke little past caddy hill on sunday, hub backed off somewhere between Tahoe to loon damn (we drove the rigs back around to get my dodge)

I was fortunate. Only bent my fenders opening the doors, but no real damage to my rig. My friends however broke an axle going up Cadillac, and it took forever to get them out. (sorry to all those who were stuck behind us, we cleared the trail as fast as we could!). Took us 24 hours to get the poor jeep off the trail and to a trailer. (thanks for your help Marlin getting the stub cut so we could limp it out). Another one in our group separated his steering box from the frame. Took a few hours to get that back together. Thanks to Jayson and Lori from Canada (In the wicked FJ45) who helped us weld it back together, then spent the rest of the trip with us.

Bout 20 minutes into the trail, my york air compressor broke the mount and fell between the axle and steering arms. disconnected the york and chucked it in the back of the 4 runner. 10 minutes later, I realized I was overheating and my steering was really hard... Got out to check and realized when the york went, it pulled the belts off the fan and the power steering pump. slipped everything back on and kept wheeling

Got a little ways past Buck Island and some while trying to go up a small hill with several polished tree roots sticking out, I blew the front passenger side birfield. Fortunately it was just the bell that cracked so I was able to unlock the hub and wheel the rest of the way in 3 wheel drive. While changing the birf, I found a broken steering stud and wasted trunnion bearings. There was misc body damage, but thats just love scrapes, not breakage.

HUGE thanks the Jeff and his crew for helping get me back up and running.

JEFF....... I need your address so I can mail you a short side birfield and some new marlin trunnion bearings!!!!!!!!!!

Longfields, ARP's, 5th stud, and Marlins 25mm trunnion kit is definitely in my future.
