2RZ great motor..my old 2wd taco had one..i beat the piss out of that motor and it never failed on me...reliable as hell..alot more reliable then a 22R tbh lol..i never replaced a single engine part in that thing except normal plugs, wires, etc...and one time a coilpack but I cracked the mount myself doing something stupid..only reason it was replaced.

Nice start!!
Always boost the piss out of it later and not have to worry about shitty long ass 3RZ rods lol.

2" no-cat, Flowmaster. Still need to figure out what I missed that is won't shut off. I'm guessing some ground wire somewhere.

OK, I'm driving this this tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Believe it or not the tail light had the same connector on them as the Tacoma harness(Bolt Right Up). got the dash installed, speedo connected using the Tacoma speedo cable bit had to route it a little different to get it to reach.
I did find the turn signals don't work without the Hazard light switch(I gues the guy I got the harness from snagged it and I didn't notice, my bad) so I hot wired the harness so the turn signals work. Now a little exhaust work and a few other things and I'm cruising the malls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I drove it, I drove it! What a difference in power! I can actually cruise at 60 now, easily. And around town it actually feels like I have an engine

Drove it more, still loving it!!! Defintely more power and man does this little motor rev. Yeeeehaaaaa!
Needed to get the front turn signals done, hit a tree this summer when I was over there in that Naches area and took out the left front lense/housing so I needed something for that, the solution a $6.20 light from NAPA and a piece of 18ga bent for a bracket.

Then I needed to connect the trans TV cable to the Throttle Body, I had an exta 22re throttle body laying around that had the right cable cam, so a little cutting, grinding I had that done. Then I fabbed up a bracket to hold the cable on the intake. Looks stock huh?

And finally a interior/cockpit poser shot. GPS mount all blacked out looking better that bare aluminum.

Just an update, exhaust installed yesterday. Been driving it around, this thing rips, so to speak. Going to the dunes this weekend and do some mild wheelin'. Must be time to start planning my next project?????????????????????I'm thinking IFS/IRS, Camry V6 powered buggy.

New to me seats to be installed soon, and went down to the Juniper Forest for a test session. Climbed a few sand hills roamed around some had an all around good time. And MAN! do I like this new motor, no complaints at all. On a side note I do need to add another leaf to the RUF's just a little too soft, OK way too soft. Anyway all in all a good day. Some pics of the trip. Had fun will have to return.
Looks at home here huh? Yeah that's frost, chilly!!!!

And the Juniper Forest................beyond that fence is Wilderness....

No air bags, left that whole system out of the swap, no issues.

Seems to be a bunch better than the 22r motor, my buddy has been running the 2RZ for a couple years and when we'd go out it seemed like he burned hardly any gas. Snows coming then we'll see if I can go to the mnts and back on less than 3/4 of a tank, most of the day wheelin' at the dunes used less than a 1/2 tank and it's a 15gal tank I think.

I added another leaf today gained about 2-3 inches of lift but this is no problem looks better actually. But now I need to modify the rear to get the ride height level. I'm guessing 3" longer shackle. I'm running the stock Chevy shackles now so making them longer is a no brainer.

Better pics of tailpipe, and the seats in place, ready to go play now I think.

Now this is looking like a real cockpit!!!! I feel the need, the need........

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

Thought this was a good idea since the stock brake light always seem to have a film of something covering them.

Hey dude! Nice rig. I was wondering how well that white backup light works and where do i find one? Does it yield good coverage?

Works good, has Halogen bulbs and its for an EZ Go golf cart. eBay is your friend. Wide good light, probably get some driving lights at Autozone cheaper, I'm just a little off when it comes to some of this stuff.

Been forever since I had a chance to do anything to the Toy, with moving 1800mi, trying to catch up on everything, my poor baby has been untouched. UNTIL TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not much but something I have been kicking around in my head for a few months. The long brake lines just don't seem to stay out of the way, thought I was going to rip one off wheelin a couple months ago.
Fixed now!!!!!!!!!!!!
