A shock question
« on: Aug 28, 2011, 11:59:53 AM »
First of  i have a 80 toyota with a custom 2inch lift in the front.  I'm wondering if i could run Marlins small shock hoops and 10" or 12" shocks with the way it sits now?

Yeh i honestly have no idea about shocks and what lengths you should be running when it come to how much lift you have and if it will mess anything up running a bigger than needed shock.  I looked at monroe's site and they said that my overall extended length is around 16" stock.   The shocks i'm looking at will be somewhere around 23" inches and the mount is the same as bilstiens are and since I plan to lift my truck higher in the future why not go ahead and mount the shock hoop and get the longer shocks.

Measure mount to mount at full droop and full stuff and try to give yourself a tiny bit extra either way.
