Just be sure to bare metal whatever you spray...better adhesion

Next weekend I am having my pull rig sprayed Rhino. Here is the before picture. As soon as I get it back I will post the after picture as well as a thread about the buildup.

Alright, three months later and I still don't have my truck back. But today I did see it all sprayed and it looks killer. On Sunday we will be going down to pick it and my trailer up. I will post pics on sunday when I get back.

It wouldn't make that much of a difference. Air drag would be more of a concern, it gets noisy at high speeds.

We will soon see how everything turns out. I estimate it will add 500 lbs. to the total vehicle weight. But since the truck is not a dually or an extended cab I saved that much weight right there anyway. It is a lame way to justify the added weight but I guess I don't care about weight anyway. The truck is a 1 ton so it is heavy no matter what. The truck has a TH-400 with no overdrive so it will be a loud ride as it is with the big block rocking at 3000 rpm on the highway with flowmasters. Gas mileage is another major issue with the added weight and wind resistance, but since it will not be my primary vehicle it doesn't matter that much. You will never get good mileage with a big block anyway so I don't worry about it, I just kept fillin' her up at 70$ a shot once a week when I was driving it last summer.

Why would you think it would be 500lbs? THat's seems way too steep.

The stuff is extremely heavy and there is a lot of it on the truck. I hope it is lighter but I think it will be around that weight. I will find out how much he sprayed on the truck. Then from there can estimate better how much it would weigh. I was able to carry the hood myself when it was bare fiberglass, now I need help.

Doing a whole truck would be $$$, a bed alone usually runs about $400.

My entire frame is sprayed. The axle and all. He taped off the brakelines then sprayed everything with the box off the truck. Even the fuel tank. I will take pictures before we put the box back on. Surprisingly Rhino Lining the truck was cheaper than a crappy paint job.

Loading it up and taking it back home to Minnesota from Iowa. The looks we got from people were really funny. Everybody that saw the truck just looked confused as they tried to figure out what kind of paint it was. We stopped to eat at McDonald's and when we left there was a small crowd gathered around it. I will post more pictures when the grille, headlights, bumpers, etc. are put back on. It is definetely a head turner.

It turned out to cost 1500$ for my truck and trailer. The guy did a terrible job, but it was cheap as hell. I shouldn't complain but I still do.

I had thought of doing my old jeep that way but I never did. The only draw back is that the Rhino liner will turn ashy loolin' if left in the sun.I know my truck bed has but seeing how yours turned out I definitely want to do mine now

They have a UV blocker that is supposedly effective in preventing fading. The UV blocker is like a clear coat, after it is sprayed the rhino really shines and looks good.

Does pulling the carpet and rhino ligning the interior make the truck noisy?

eh slightly louder,  it is neglagible with the super swampers though.  those things are freakin crazy loud.  i like it a lot better though i dont care if im gettin in with muddy boots or anythin, and yes around here that stuff is unavoidable.  the other thing is i found my floorboard problem and fixed it and now its all sealed up so that wont happen again.
