Because I think I already have 27 longs in my other axle. So I just wanted to have the same spline count. And so I could carry a stock birf just in case. Not saying I would ever break a Longfield. Just like having spare parts.

got it sold to me with a broken birf, somebody tried to cut the knucke and gave up then layed a fat turd of a weld on it.  shims missing from trunnion bearings,  bunch of nuts washers and bolts missing too. was not going to deal with it

update.
School is in a week. Waiting for my gears to get back from my buddy.  Probably going to try and trailer my truck up to Corvallis so I can work on it there.  Had to buy a 2wd pickup for my daily driver. Will post pics of new truck when I'm On my computer.  Damn school

Are those 35's? I bet if I removed a leaf front and rear it would help a bit more. Sit 1" lower and get some more squish on the springs. I wish I would had made my shackles a bit more aggressive angle.

I notched my frame above my tie rod so I could keep it low and still have a good amount of up travel (6 inches)

Yeah, looking back on it I should have just built new frame rails but what I did works and I would suggest it.
