Interlock Pin
« on: Aug 20, 2011, 04:37:43 PM »
Was putting my duals together and totally spaced on putting back in my interlock pin. Problem is, I don't remember how it goes in. Does it just go in front of the detent ball or does it go in between the shift forks or... ???

Any help would be great. Thanks

Put in one of your shifter rods first, then drop the inter lock pin in then the other shifter rail then after that it's your dent balls then spring.

So the interlock pin goes between the shift rails then? That's what I was afraid of. I already have everything back together.

Don't you have to take the interlock pin out for twin sticks though? Might just go that route.

Yes if you want to make it a twin stick, then you must keep that interlock pin out.

You can use it fine without the pin.   Shifter might come out of the fork and cause you to search for it again.
I wouldnt want to tear the thing all apart to get it back in.  Bummer

Alright, thanks for the replies everyone. I figured it wasn't going to be too bad. At least I know it will still work.

Just an excuse to get a twin stick
