What color should I paint my engine block?

I will be gettin my freshly finished engine block back sometime this week. I am at a loss on what color to paint it. I want to go unique. My buddy said Caterpillar yellow. Anyone else have some outrageous color that I should use?

The engine in our 85 is that light blue color. Its an ok color but I want something that has a little more POP lol

red block, red oil pan, black timing cover and red valve cover with the top section black and the toyota on it red. thatd look tits.... My green blocks going in my white runner, itll definitely POP lol!

Id paint ti a color that allows you to see oil or coolant leaks easily.

I'm partial to the old Ford green color...not outrageous, just cool...imnsho.

That would be pretty kool if they made a glow in the dark paint that would hold up to the heat of an engine bay hahaha.

Could you imagine cruzin down the hiway at night and there bein a eerie green glow comin from the engine bay? That would be sweet!!

there you go but minus hammered style paint and paint the pan and pulleys red as well. I prefer bright colors to notice leaks quicker.... just me though...

Paint it a light color to make it easier to see things under the hood in the dark.  As long as you have a hood, be practical.

paint it green, bright green, do something different. POR 15 has some really nice engine kits that really last, much better than just running high temp paint.

Can't complain.  It was plug and play for me, with no adjustments.  It's noticeably better throttle response, and power.  Still need to build an air box for it, though.

I ended up goin the route of Grabber Green. It spoke to me when I was lookin at colors at the auto parts store. Check it out in my build up (Project Rocky Mountain Ridge Rat)
