Co2 is probably fastest, but second to that is a York or its electric cousin the Oasis compressor.

there are some compressors that the lowrider guys use that are nice too.

when I had my jeep I was able to bolt on a York compressor to the engine, it was capable enough to use air tools with a 2.5 gallon tank... I frequently used it to air up me and 3 of my buddies after a trail run. and it was FAST!

I can use air tools with my 2.5 gallon tank and a viair 450c
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

I'd just stay with the Smittybuilt compressor then.  If its a problem, then just buy another Smittybuilt one, and cut your fill time in half.  I know alot of guys who runs the small cheapo pumps, and have no issues with them.  Yeah they are slow, but they also do a once over on their rig while the tires are filling up.

A tank will always help quicken the fillup process.  In my '90 with 33's and dual 2.5 gallon tanks mounted above the spare tire mount.  The tanks came off of a 110vlt air compresser and I picked them up at a local used tool store for $20.  I usually kick the tire comp(Superflow MV50) on about 10 minutes before reaching the trail head. With the tanks at 100psi the volume would fill one 33, cutting the refill time by about 10 minutes.

If the space under the tool box is just dead unused space, I would put two 2.5 gallon tanks, or fab up your own out of some 4" or 6" .125 round or sqare tube.

Been there done that. That tank dont work. Best is check around for ones that guys use for their bag cars. Ill snap a pic of the set up my buddy has you might like it.  Ohh yea it a viairr setup with a five gal tank and he gets constance 120psi in the tank.

Having a air tank charged of air, with no compressor will not air up a tire. Unless its like 100 gallons

:slap:

he has a compressor he wants to fill up his tires faster on the cheep so hes gonna get a tank and have more air on hand, lets not pass judgement or assume what he did or didnt do, we are here to help answer questions .....

thanks for your 2 cents it was really helpful, you should have yer own forum :shakehead:
Wow nice catch...The smart answer would be NONE.Toss it, cuz it ain't enuff to do more than just air up tires anyways. Then upgrade to a york since he already has a tank.Doesn't cost much for a york setup anyways...Hows that now...LMFAO..
