tires for 84 4runner

I am thinking what tires to get for dd 84 4runner. Toyo AT's  (are they made in china?), Kelly Safari tsr's, general grabber at2, maybe bfg all terrian (are these good and last while?, or is there a better option?), any other chocies that I am not thinking about, please post up.

I will be using them in the snow as well as ice. As I will be going to up mountain passes and such, as well as going up to snowboard at wolfcreek,co. And staying in New Mexico. as well as colorado. but, i like to travel alot to different states. What does everyone think?

id go with bfg ats or mts are your best bet

BFG AT's last a long time when following proper rotation procedures.  The last set I had went 70k miles and were wheeled nearly once a week as well.  When I bought my current set the old set still had about 10k miles of highway left in them.  The current set has nowhere near the miles the last set had.  I think I have put just over 20k on them in the last 7yrs, and they look brand new, still have the nipples on them.  You would likely get better mpgs with a T/A tire, but if the Runner is ever going to see any off road time, the BFG AT's really can't be beat for an all purpose tire.  Unfortunately the last time I bought BFG's they didn't come with a mileage warranty, but if America's Tire still has a no Q's asked warranty, it is just as good as a mileage warranty.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I guess that somewhat answered my question. I might get them might not, I looked at Yokohama ats look good and alot cheaper but not sure how long they last and get poor reviews, the other that got good reviews was the richard cepek fun country two, for more money of course.

Toyo ats looked good too.

i would get toyo mts my buddy has them on his 01 f350 diesel and he gets lke 45,000 miles out of them and they drive great too.

Those look awesome, and I never seen when one pop even at competition. How do they handle light snow and ice? While it will be a dd and across the country driving. It will will go on the trail on the weekends or wherever just to get out and explore. So they might be a better option then an at.

Discoverer A/T3 is probably the tire I am going with. Hopefully discount tire is the same as in store prices as their online discount tire website is. I also liked the discoverer maxx but I dont see any 15'' on the coopers website yet.
I looked at pep boys ats sounds good, just need to look at them in person.
