So I just got an 81 pu with 5.71 gears I think, 20r, rear locker,38s, and 36s, but the problem is is that the floor is about to fall out and u can practically pik the windshield out of it! I was wondering if sheet metalx bondo, and bed liner would fix it enough just give me some opinions on way I should do Imma try and post pics

Not for the floor.  Chances are if it's that rusted out the body mounts are usually toast too.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I've got an 87 , how difficult would it be to swap cabs and the front fenders and such?

fo sho. I would most def cut the top off if it is going to be a toy. then you can build a frame and have a windshield you can put down when you want.

I don't know anything about the cage but I would scrap the cab and get a new one, people are always giving away or selling decent cabs,

Soft top or bikini top? There is a topless 1st gen that runs around here with no roof. He just has what looks like a custom bikini top.

If you don't want to deal with the wiring and other BS from a cab swap, I'd do just a roof swap and then cut out the main floor and weld in some basic plate in it's place just so you don't pull a fred flintstone by accident. I've helped with a roof swap and seen at least one other and they are pretty basic if you can weld and can find a donor truck. If you do do this, you should cage it while you're doing it, both cause you lose the structure from the A and B pillars and you can weld the tops of the joints really easily!
