My buddy rolled his 92 v6 4Runner last night. He wants to turn it into a complete offroad rig or pull the motor, tranny/t case and put it in a 84 PU that hes been lookin at, but me and my old man were thinkin about just replacin the roof and gettin it back on the road. Its sad to see it in this condition cuz it was a pretty nice runner before. Yall had any experience doin a roof swap? We did one on a single cab 2000 Ranger but that is alot different, 2 doors vs 4 and a cargo area. But one plus to doin the roof swap would be addin one with a sun roof cuz he wanted one before.

? my guess is he must have been drunk when he rolled it and is still a bit hung over to be thinking about swapping a 3.0 into a 84 ?   .    If i was going to do a roof on that i would cut it at the back windows and do it like the 4runner /truck

You are exactly right. Drunk then hung over hahahaha. You sayin do it like a 1st gen runner with a removeable top or sealing up the cab right behind the rear seat and makin the cargo space a bed?

Oh ok, I get ya. That would sick!! It would be easy to do too since we are gonna have the top off anyway
