Holy R151f's Batman!!!!!
« on: Jan 27, 2005, 04:24:34 PM »
I hate to do but my job is on the rocks so I’m selling off my rock crawler project. :rivers:   I thought my job was ultra secure but apparently it’s not.  This stuff has got to go.

Used IFS steering box 4wd w/ pitman arm. Excellent condition- $75  Marlin sells these for $175.   Edit: SOLD

Forward shift t-case with shifter $35 (Local pickup or delivered with tranny only.)
SOLD

Toyota transfer case mount w/ bolts and nuts- I don’t know what these go for so make me an offer. SOLD

I have two turbo R151f manual transmissions for sale out of an 86 and 87 stock turbo 4wd pickups.  I was going to use one as a back up.  I had to go far and wide to track these babies down.

Turbo R151F tranny no t-case or shifters.  Excellent condition. $450 obo. EDIT: SOLD

Turbo R151F With 23 spline T-case and both shifters.  T-case excellent condition, tranny is in excellent condition.  Shifts in all gears flawlessly.   $700 obo. EDIT: SOLD

I have an 88 4runner v-6 that i am thinking about going dual cases in.  I kinda want to avoid buying the v6 to gear driven tcase adapter but it might be easier just to use one.  Im pretty sure your r151fs are the same tranny just a little beefed and has a different output shaft (so i dont need the vr adapter)??  If so I might be interested in one.  Do the tcases use a top shift or forward shift off of the back of the tranny??  Any info helps.
Thanks

If you have a v6 all you need is the bell housing from your r150 tranny and it bolts right up to the r151f.  Marlin will trade you a v6 housing already ground to fit a v6 for the r151f  bell housing.  All you have to pay for is shipping (last I checked).
R151f's have a gear driven transfer case with 23 spline.  Any gear driven transfer case will work for duals as long as you regear it w/ 23 spline.  For example, 1st case 23 spline 4.7 Marlin gears, rear 2.28 stock t-case.  Also, 23 spline gears are the same price as 21 spline gears from Marlin.

Oh ya, r151f's are forward shift.

I don't know much about the NP435's but I guess it comes down to wether or not you want a Toyota or Ford engine.  I wouldn't go GM or Dodge.  I had a Ford once and didn't have any problems with the engine just the radiator core.
