I am going to do a sas in my 89 4Runner and I just dont know where to start. Will a 4cy 3rd work with my v6??? Also sould I take the axle to have a locker and gears put on it first or what?? Any help that you guys can give me would be great. Thanks for your time!!!

Hyena

Start buy building the axle first.  Easier to get too off the truck.  Then go on to the front suspensions and steering.

FIREBALL

I agree, build the axle with everything you plan on putting into it ahead of time. It's much easier to build it on the bench. That way you won't have your rig down any longer than it will take to torch out the ifs, and weld in the spring hangers etc.

UNBREAKABLE

I'll 3rd that. Go ahead and build up your housing. Here's a tip for you> when you go to put your new steering arms on make damn sure you put the same # of shims back in on each one. Oh, yes a 4cyl 3rd will work w/ your v-6
That's how I roll
