Got these unpacked to install today, 1 felt like crap, would hardly move and the other was notchy and loose in a few spots. The bad one even has the chromoly surface worn, like it was rubbing. Maybe gouging is a better word. Bobby said it must have taken some heat to do that. So I sent them to Bobby to get rebuilt.

Let me know what we can do about this, because I could have gotten brand new ones for less $.

Thanks.

Yeah they're on the way to Bobby's. I'd like a refund. It's easy, I'll just have Bobby send YOURS back to you without doing anything to them. But I gotta know if you will send me the $300 back, which is why I left you a phone message 2 days ago about it. I'll try calling you again. Thanks.

not sure if youre up to speed on math.  those are over 200$ each.  you bought two for 300.

you get a free warranty from bobby.

why would you think this guy should get his old ones back, when bobbby would send you new ones?

hold this. . .

These things worked flawlessly in my truck. I got them used and ran them for a bout a year with no issues.  They seemed a little tight when I got them so I just repacked them with grease and threw em in.  I figured if one ever broke then I would just warranty it out.
I even replaced them with a used 30 spline set that felt equally stiff, and I am currently running those with no issues.

after a little searching on the sublject I found these,   I love the one where Bobby says.....
''It will be just fine some are a little tighter than others, go ahead and run it.

Here's the deal guys, I felt them and they didn't feel good, one had scarring on the outside where it was rubbing and they didn't feel very good, so I sent them in to Bobby. Notchy loose spots, gouging in the chromoly we know takes a bunch of heat to do, and then that :pokinit: gets in the bearings, etc. He rebuilt them this morning, in the mean time, I tried to contact the guy I got them from, but his phone doesn't work right and never returned my calls. I don't want my truck apart for weeks waiting to get in touch with people who are trying to say I'm scamming them, so screw it, get them rebuilt.

Basically I spent $460 total for used Longs. ITS NOT FREE TO REBUILD THEM, shipping both ways and then Bobby's fees was $160 total ... It's fine they're gonna be like new now, ...but the original purchase was $300 for a "really nice" set of Longs, which they weren't, they were a nice $200 set. I could have just bought new ones for less and not had the extra week of bs to deal with. Heck I'm fine with just some of the cost back for this, everyone's jumping on my :pokinit:, I even got pm's saying "I called the office and there's no record of them sent in" that's BS call Longfield up and ask him, Bobby said you're welcome to.

I don't have any hard feelings about it all, just want to clear it up, plus I have a good record with everyone I do business with, so let's get er done.

They weren't just stiff, they had loose notchy spots where the birf would just wiggle like there was no bearing, then it would be stiff again. Bobby even said the one took some heat because you can see the marks on the outside.
