My second tank fits where the spare tire would normally go. Single fuel fill, fuel enters rear then drains forwrd into stock main.  Holds total of 28 gal.  Also has piddle drain into main sediment drain.  Simple one gauge, no extra switches or pumps.

Downey sells a 12 gal tank that uses a seperate fill in the wheel well.

Know a guy that used a FJ40 tank in the rear.

you will have to route your exhaust above your driveline... my neighbor has the setup around the corner... He hasnt installed the tank yet but he does have the exhaust routed for the second tank.... Oh for exhaust.... When i do my exhaust im gonna use 2 inch pipe... Alot of people use bent curves but im gonna cut the pipe in angles so that it has enough back preassure and its easier to route....
so instead of a bent curve like this (  its gonna be like \_     its easier to route.. a guy on pirate4x4 told me about this... ill try to snap a picture
ah the beauty of a cuttin torch

Optimal size for a 20R/22R() is 2-1/4" with a three chamber muffler max, two chamber even better.

I already have 2 1/4 pipe bent with a zero chamber magna flow I just need to figure out how to make it fit down the center, I am going to try and go over the saddle cross member and put the muffler between the tanks there, ferg got any picks, I was going to try and set my tanks up with a swich that changed which one was feeding fuel and using the filler gauge. Both tanks would use the gauge I just need a splitter fo the lines and I want an electric pump in line from the auxilery that can pump gas to another vehicles tank. how does your tank work with smog?

Don't bother with the whole gauge/switch thing.  Just use a transfer pump and pump from 2nd tank to fill primary.  Simple one switch operation.

I'll see if I can get pic of mine tomorrow.

UNBREAKABLE

I ditched my tank and put a fuel cell in between my frame rails...It was easy, just build a flatbed, and a fuel cell, and run a stack for the exhaust :headscratch: wait a minute; that wasn't easy at all :smack:
That's how I roll

Ferg, you sneaky bastad, you read my mind, I was gonna say the same thing.  I'm tryin to find a spare boat gas tank to mount in the front of my bed, then under the bed mount a transfer pump and run a line to a fitting in the stock filler neck and mount a switch at the dash.  That way if I'm out huntin and notice my tank is gettin low I just hit the switch whilst I'm still drivin and it fills up with minimal effort.  A: it's easier to fill a tank mounted in the bed with a jerry can  B: You don't hafta get out or even stop to top off your tank.  Plus I always have so much junk in my bed that it won't really be takin up any more space than normal,  and it's harder to steal than the three cans I leave in the bed all deer season,     Nate
