are the bearings in a 31 spline 9 inch the same as the 28 spline?

I have a 28 spline 9 inch with a detroit. I broke an axle and trashed the spanner on one side and the where the pinion bearing rides.I have a spare 3rd member out of a 31 spline torino.Can I swap everything to the torino diff? Will the master install kit be the same ?I think there are 3 different bearing sizes for the 9 inch.Is this true?
I'd rather push a Toyota than drive a Jeep!!!

i don't know but that is one sexy looking rig. i would want to go with the more splines(31spline)...but everything you have is for the 28.

gawd i love that truck haha, dunno bout the info... but i want that truck!
