Does anyone know what size of Fusable Link Wire I need on my 84 SR5 4-Runner?   :shocking:        :headscratch:

Is it just a loop of wire for the ALT terminal?  You can replace it with a 100A fuseable link from your Toyota dealer- the kind with a clear plastic lid and visible element inside.  It should bolt right in place of the wire.  IIRC, you've gotta take the fuse panel out, turn it over and remove the screws that hold the ends of the wire in place, then just put the link in place of the wire.

I figured out my electrical problem finally.  One wire, one freakin wire.  Thanks for all the help.

Well don't leave us hangin,  which wire was it?  Sucks how one wire can cause so much trouble.  My charging system went south, replaced everything, twice, then by the third time I found the culprit.  PO had "fixed" the wiring in the loom goin to the alt, I fixed it right and it's been fine for about two years now.  Don't buy a truck from an electrician, he jacked all kinds of wiring up,      Nate

It was the FUSABLE link wire coming off my positive battery cable that connects to the fuse box, I burnt up the connection.
