I found some skyjacker springs that will work for the rear of my rig but are they worth a crap?

I've heard that skyjacker were the best of the mass produced springs
88 4runner v6,
5.29 with 35" tires,
Isuzu Rodeo rear disk brake,
t-case hand brake in near futur
solid axle'd

19801981

I'd go with a non lifted spring and somthing off a stock vehicle,,ford, chevy, mazda,,unless its a pavment pounder and hell if the price is right give them a try,,but doubt you will get the flex you want out of them..
Forgiveness is between them and god..

I have a 5 inch skyjacker all around and the rears flex OK but the fronts suck badly. I was actually dissapointed in them. I am going to get some rears up front and make a custom spring pack so It will flex better. They do ride pretty nice on the road and cruzing on the dirt roads but if you plan on flexing alot,  I dont think you would want them.

RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

For an off the shelf internationally sold lift kit yes they are very good.  But try comparing them to a homebuilt pack, they suck.  But look at it this way, once you decide to get better suspension later you already have a really good set of add-a leafs. :gap:
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I think stock rear toyota springs flex better then lift springsfor the rear.

Yeah, I'm tring to save money. Thats why I'm going with Skyjacker. I would get Ford or mazda springs but I don't want to have to relocate my spring mounts

lilbuddy

You are still going to want to weld up some new shackle hangers. Mine are at a 90* angle and it sucks at flexing... These are my 5" Skyjacker rears... Those are mounted to the stock locations
