« on: Apr 03, 2011, 09:00:54 AM »

I am wanting info on the ifs hubs going on the 85 front end what rotors to use in doing so, and then taking my 85 front brake stuff and putting it on the rear ifs Axel to get disk brakes there. I'm wanting to get all the info so when i do it i don't have any headaches. thanks for the help and info all the pros and cons would be great even if you haven't done it just see some future problems that might occur

I believe you need to use FJ40 rotors with the IFS hubs. I tried to do it with FJ60 rotors and it didn't work.

My bad, the taco kit makes the axle 3.25 wider to wide for me, am sure you looking to keep the stock width. I forgot who had a awesome brake kit on this board from Grand Junction?

ya that way is amazing and bolts your caliper on the outside of the ears so you gont have to buy the sky spacer to go inbetewn the botor and hub plus it makes disassembly a breeze

You can use normal solid axle rotors, on the ifs hubs, and then drill out the knuckle ears to 5/8 iirc, and either tap or nut the caliper on. Can clear v6 calipers with ws or slight grinding of the rear most fin.
