Lets see your body carnage.

Ok, recently I started have major pains in my left knee.  I have developed a tender spot.  It only hurts when I move it.  I went to see my Orthopedic Doc and look what he found.

I didn't see a problem either.     :dunno:

He says its a tear and some cartilage needs to be removed (probably).  MRI soon, looks like the knife for me.  BTW DR. Reynolds is one of the best in Santa Cruz, if your in Tahoe it is Watson or Swanson.

Lets see your battle wounds, x-rays, carnage.

I had a perforated bowel. Removed 15 inches of intestines, and my appendix. Had 25 staples. If the first pic, they had to re open half of the incision and let it heal from from inside out, took 4 months.
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

This is all I can show for now...I got scars in places people don't want to look...

I lost eight feet, but still got the appendix..  Not eight feet in one piece but here and there as they plugged the holes..

4RunnerChevy

Holy :pokinit: !  I only snapped a femur.  Keep them coming, give a story.

My appendix burst this past Christmas...I finally went to the hospital 3 days later. Severe peritonitis and gangrene. I have a scar similar to junya's except a little lower towards Mr. Happy. Luckily...I didn't loose anything except the appendix. It is with love and respect for this board (and modesty) that I don't show my scar.

Allow me to say thankyou, thankyouverymuch!!   :gap:

I am happy to say that I have nothing to contribute to this thread. Couple of minor outpatient surgery procedures, small scars not worth mentioning. And I plan to keep it that way!   :yesnod:

one morning i woke up and couldnt move, everything hurt especially my back and tail bone.
I kept jumping up but my body would just collapse, after hours of that i got to where i could stand but couldnt walk, I just kept going and going, the more i moved the less it hurt.
after a few hours it was ok, it was like that for 3 days then was gone!??
no clue what it was but ive been ok since ???

No pics, but I have a road-rash scar on my right back/shoulder from the last spill on the street bike, broke part of my thumb bone off and spiral fractured my leg in my first street crash, and seemingly irreversible short term memory loss from hitting my head on a metal reflector post.

We had chipmunks when my brother and I were little.  Dad was building the cage out of chicken coupe (or whatever it was) in the back yard and left the cut end sticking up.  We were horsing around and mom lunged at me like she was going to grab me, I jerked my arm back and got 2 long cuts on the inner forearm, and still have 2 straight scars to this day, though they've fade quite a bit.

I have scars all over, like most dudes, and have no clue what most of them are from, but I never broke a bone till I crashed a street bike.

Scar across throat from disc removal at back of neck. Scar on inside the right leg at the top from tube insertion for further heart study. Scar on left palm from being stabbed, being a stupid kid
Too many others to list, from war wounds to motorcycle dumps to just life being rough on the body.

about a week and a half ago I had to remove a 10' hydraulic cylinder from the outriggers on a boom truck. bottom pin would NOT come out so I heated the :pokinit: out of it and pounded on it with a 20lb sledge for a few minutes, nothin.... my foreman tried as well, nothin.... so we had our fab man take a stab at it since we both had other rigs to work on that needed to be finished and out of the shop. My fab man ended up having to cut the foot pad off of the pin and torch more off then used the rose bud tip to get the end of the cylinder red hot and FINALLY busted it loose. about 5 minutes later my foreman called me over to drag the cylinder out of the outrigger. so we slid my 3 foot snap on pry bar through the end and proceeded to pull it out. It hung up and my foreman had the plastic handled end and I was holding the ''pry'' end without gloves one :headshake: then he yanked on it HARD twisted the outrigger sideways and pulled my end of the bar right onto the cylinder... just felt like a bad pinch so i ripped it out and looked at it.... :pokinit: it was so hot it just melted my skin and tore a big chunk off..... No bueno when you are a flat rate mechanic and right handed as well.... its healed up nicely so far though! I will be wearing gloves next time Im messin with hot metal!

Thanks... My foreman felt like :pokinit:. I didnt go to the E-Rooom because I had too much too do and filling out paperwork/waiting in the Dr's office is NOT my thing. Went and showed my boss, he asked if I was wearing gloves.. nope! well if you want you can go to the Dr's office... If it gets real painfull then I will go.... I just went into the B-room and ran COLD water over it every 15 minutes untill my shift was over.

I have another xray somewhere of when I broke my hand in a couple different places, see if I can find that one...

Went to the dr once and e.r. twice before they admitted me. Dr said i should of come in sooner. :slap: said one more day and i would have been dead. Spent two weeks in the hospital, lost 35 pounds. Took about 4 months before i was back to normal. Oh, and they only used on stitch in a 10 inch cut!!!!!!!!

I was 26 years old but had been very sick for a couple years. Doctors didnt know or didnt care enough to find out what was wrong with me (didnt know I had been a diebetic since about 13 years old and highly allergic to corn) but had been back and forth to the doctors numerous times a year since I was 15.

I started having kidney stones about every 3 months when I was 21, and started passing large amounts of blood in the toilet at about 24.    In early February 1997  I was on my way to Dallas (cross country trucking) from my home in Arkansas.  I had just crossed the state line into Texas when the most horrible pain hit me.  I was doubling over the steering wheel and passed out.   when I woke someone was on the side of my truck asking if I was Okay.  when I looked at them they didnt wait for a reply she said they would get help.   My truck had miraculously rolled to a stop on an off ramp.

they got my rig parked and were going to get an ambulance but I said no because I didnt want to go to the hospital there (had been seeing a doctor there already with no good results)
an hour or so later my parents showed up and took me home.  I spent the night on the sofa but as soon as I tried to eat breakfast I was screaming in pain.  they took me to the "University of Arkansas school for medical science"   I walked in the ER and the nurse looked up and saw me and ran into the back and come out with a chair.  she rolled me to a room and within minutes the doctor was having my blood work done and ordered some morphine and antibiotics.  (105* temperature at the time) sometime around 9pm that night the morphine wasnt working at all. he ordered more morphine.  no good.  he told me they would give me some more but then I couldnt have anything else as it was the maximum allowed by law.  I was still in serious pain. but I felt dopey as hell.
shortly after the doctor called in a surgeon and they called my parents.   as I was leaving the CT going into emergency surgery my Mom came running up to the bed and kissed me and told me not to be worried.  I wasnt worried I really thought i was already dying.
I was told it took them 10 hours to open me up, remove my intestines and put them on a table to be cleaned of all the peritonitis (severe infection) that filled my abdominal cavity.

this picture was taken a couple weeks after I had been home.  I lost 45 pounds while I was in the hospital.  I had to have that colostomy bag for 3 months then they opened me up again  and hooked my plumbing back up.

Glen...you are your own walking medical library. You would probably win any "Listen to my hospital story" contest.

I think it's odd...the other ab scars pictured here go around the belly button...mine goes right on the edge, I had 2 or 3 staples right down inside!

Tice, I had mine this past Christmas in SV! Good hospital.
