Id have to say mine was $250 for a complete, stock, open,  4-cyl-4.10 third member.

I have to say the same only cause i knew a guy, it was 275-300 for that same open 4.10 third member, but after much talking i paid 200.

I paid only $45 for a V6 3rd member at the local u-pull-it  "CAR" 3rds are cheaper than "TRUCK" 3rds and they are stooopid

a local junkyard once tried to hit me for $150 on an AFM and air pipe.
I laughed so hard that I was invited to never return in a very ungentlemanly fashion

Guy told me he wanted $1500 for a complete 22re out of a 86 2wd truck, When I asked him how many miles he said over 250K, then he said he was told by the guy that junked the trunk that it was recently rebuilt, I asked if I could drop the pan & pull the valve cover & they denied me. I saw it there about 2-3 days later with a $500 price tag on it. Chico U-Serve about 4-5 years ago.

850 bucks for a complete 84 Toy front axle.  Here is the kicker, I had to buy it sight unseen!!  I just walked out laughing.

$1500 for a set of half doors with fire damage...He said normally they get about $2000 for them.Milliken 4x4 dismantelling,Ontario,Ca....That was about 4 years ago.............Guess that explains why they went out of buisseness. .

How about $300 for an IFS power steering box.  I know the guy so I bought mine for $100 bucks.

Was just kind of checking out a yard I had seen. Asked him about a front 60. "Yeah I just got one in yestersay. $1800......and that's a pretty good price if you check around.But I have had a couple of guys calling on it already so I don't think it will last too long" Then I asked him about an sm-465. "sure I have one, not sure of the condition but I could let it go for $1000." I said thanks and drove off laughing. Within 6 months I boutght a front 60 for $500 This was about 4 yrs. ago when 60s were going for $700 high end and sm 465s were probably $75 for one in good shape. Last year I bought my latest front 60 for $800.

a kingpin ford 60 can go for up to $1500 nowadays, especially if its a '78-79 one.  $1000 for a 465 is insane though any way you put it.  i think we've got a couple of them dumped behind some oil drums at work.

the most outlandish quote i've had was $450 for a third member at 410 auto recycling(a toyota place in buckley).  i've never bought anything there, i always see stuff turning up on car-part.com at the place, usually at greatly inflated prices.  once saw a toy dually axle on there listed for $1000!

as for times i've gone to the junk yard, i had to pay $15 for a throttle linkage for a 22R a week ago.  most of the places here are really reasonable.  one even has SET prices on the wall, so if a d60 front turned up i could have it for $300

Speacking of front D60s...I called this one cat in Compton to see if he had one."Yeah,I got one,it's complete,gimmie $2800,I sell those things for $3500 all day long"... What a forkin' idiot!!!.I hope that thing disenegrates,or rusts away...In his @$$!!!....After someone like me shoves it in there!.................................. Some people.

When I was looking for a Toy front axle for my sas, this one place quoted me    $800 for the one they had and it wasn't even    complete!!     What a Jack    !!

$2000 for a 82-83 toy solid front axle(forget if it was complete). they hardly ever get yota stuff so they think they can charge what they want. they said we sell by the piece...housing, hubs, 3rd, ect. i have no clue if it's still there...was roughly 3 years ago.
