europe toyota guys are lucky. well really any one whos got a taro

so I've noticed for a while that europe got a vw truck like the toyota, well its just a rebadged toyota called a vw taro. you guys are so lucky they just appeal to me so much. anyways they also got a diesel in them to. ughh.. how lucky youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUoPtj6aXaY

and iirc the 4wd modles where also solid front axle. I just wanted to say, you guys should be picking these things up left and right and trying to import them to the us, i would for sure buy one.

on a side note if you guys over there ever come accross a 4wd one at the wreckers there if it has a clean grill let me know I've been searching for one for about 8 months now with no luck. I want one so bad so if any one has a lead on a grill let me know.

they came straight axle?  i wonder why toyota changed them for the u.s. models.

because for the us, they figured people wanted a more plush ride(ifs soft ride better road manners). all oversea's toyotas till 99 or 00 had a solid front axle i believe.

Taros were sold in Europe from 1989 - 1997. Solid axle just like the Hilux. Now Toyotas sold in Europe are just sold as the Hilux.
