my buddy has a rockwell siting in his field, what should it go for, a little rusty. ill get pics this weekend.

Depends on front or rear. If it's a front it depends on which joints the shafts have and of course what kind of shape the axle is in. Rears can go for as little as $2-$400in good shape. A front in good shape with Rzeppa joints can go for $6-800 while a u-joint equipped axle can go for $8-1000

I think it also matters if its a 2.5 ton TOP loaded diff? because I beleive the made some that just looked like a regular axle?
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.
